NEW DELHI: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated a contentious temple in Ayodhya, Hindutva mobs attacked a mosque and a church as they conducted victory marches in BJP-ruled states. A group of Hindu activists in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, raised saffron flags at a mosque in response to news of a comparable assault on a Madhya Pradesh church. On the tenth day of the east-west peace march, Rahul Gandhi's political altercation with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma intensified, prompting police in BJP-ruled Assam to book him for "wanton acts of violence" on Tuesday. Mr. Gandhi claimed that he is not "intimidated" by these strategies.
