PTV continues blackout of opposition lawmakers in NA coverage

On Monday, the government-owned electronic media persisted in censoring speeches given by opposition National Assembly (MNA) members. The relevant authorities, however, claimed to be unaware of the intention to black out the opposition. PTI leaders have declared that they will file a privilege move against Pakistan Television (PTV) when they are seated in the lower chamber of parliament under the auspices of the Sunni Itehad Council (SIC). Before Shehbaz Sharif took the oath of office as prime minister on Monday morning, Omer Ayub expressed his worries to the speaker of the National Assembly, claiming that they were the target of discrimination by the state media.
