Edi Gathegi, Isabela Merced, and Nathan Fillion from Hollywood are all expected to join the cast of DC Comics Superman: Legacy. Fillion will play Guy Gardner, one form of the Green Lantern character, according to Deadline. Merced will play Hawkgirl, while Gathegi will play Mister Terrific. As previously stated, David Corenswet will portray Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan will play his girlfriend Lois Lane. The movie is being directed by DC co-boss James Gunn from a story he wrote that is based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The executive producer is Safran.

Fillion has previously acted in films like "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" and "The Suicide Squad," both of which were directed by Gunn. He is presently seen on the ABC police drama "The Rookie." Merced has a full schedule ahead of her, with roles in Hannah Marks' "Turtles All the Way Down," Fede Alvarez's "Alien: Romulus," Sony's "Madame Web," and the action thriller "Ballerina Overdrive." According to Deadline, Gathegi's upcoming projects include "Aporia," a sci-fi drama starring Judy Greer, and "Zero Day," a Netflix series starring Robert De Niro. Gathegi is currently seen in the sci-fi thriller "For All Mankind" on Apple TV+, and some of his most recent credits include films like "The Harder They Fall" and shows like "Briarpatch."

'Superman: Legacy' is all set to hit the theatres on July 11, 2025. The project was announced earlier this year when Gunn and Safran laid out their plan for the first phase of this revamped slate, and 'Superman: Legacy' was front and centre as the project that would help launch this strategy, reported Deadline.
