In his 60s, Surinder Shinda passed away in the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. He performed in a number of popular Punjabi films, including Putt Jattan De, Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da, and Badla Jatti Da, throughout the course of his singing career.
